How does Skribbl work in Here?

You can play Skribbl.io directly in your Here room, but there's a few steps to making the game work. Please follow along below (or watch the video) to start a game — any questions? You can reach us at help@here.fm or join our Discord.

Here are the steps for a Game Host to start a game (or read more detailed steps below)

Read below for step-by-step instructions

1—Add the game to the room

  • From the Toolbar, hit the Games Icon and then choose Skribbl

2—Someone hits "Start a New Game"

  • Just hit the purple button: "Start a New Game"

3—That person chooses "Create Private Room" while everyone else sits tight!

  • Just hit the light blue "Create Private Room" button

  • If you don't see the light blue button, it's probably because you haven't clicked out of the tutorial gif that's playing over it. The gif looks like this and you can exit out of it by clicking the white "X" in the top right corner:

4—Skribbl shows an advertisement now. Wait 10 seconds for it to play

  • The person who hit the Create Private Room button will see an ad (we know it's not ideal, but Skribbl has to pay the bills and this is how they do it)

  • Other people in the room won't see anything other than a message saying to wait

5—The Game Creator copies the invite link and then pastes in the "share the game" bar at the bottom of the game window

  • Scroll down to the bottom of the Skribbl window til you see an "Invite your friend!" line

  • Reveal the link in "Invite Your Friends" and copy it

  • Paste the link in the "Share the Game" bar at the bottom of the window and hit "Share URL"

  • Tell your friends in the room when you hit the Share URL bar

6—Other players hit the "Join Game" button that appears at the bottom of the Skribbl window

  • Make sure you're looking at the bottom of the window and you'll see a Join Game button appear. Click it

  • Click into the Skribbl game window and Enter Your Name at the top

  • Press the Green PLAY! button

7—When you see everyone in the Skribbl Lobby, the Game Creator just hits the green "Play!" button, and the game starts!

  • Make sure you're looking at the bottom of the window and you'll see a Join Game button appear. Click it
