If you're the host of a Public Room, you can control who has access to their camera and microphone. To limit visitors from being able to turn on their camera and microphone, go to "Room Details" under settings (click the cog in the top toolbar) and scroll until you see "Permissions." It looks like this:
When the Camera permission is toggled (when the toggle is purple), visitors to the room will be able to turn their cameras on and off. When the toggle is gray, visitors will not be able to turn their cameras on. (You will also see a red line through the camera button).
When the Mic permission is toggled (when the toggle is purple), visitors to the room will be able to turn their microphones on and off. When the toggle is gray, visitors will not be able to turn their microphones on. This means guests will be limited to using the chatbox. (You will also see a red line through the microphone button).
If you'd like to host a room where no one can access their camera or mic and won't even show up on the canvas, you can check out Stations Mode. Stations provide limited controls to visitors. They will only appear in the chatbox and can't add or manipulate content on the canvas. It's similar to streaming where the room Host is the only member of the room in control Learn more about Stations in our Stations Mode section.
