Use the camera and microphone controls in the join preview or inside the room. They work separately: you can talk with your camera off, or appear on video with your mic muted.
Choose a device
Open the camera or audio settings to choose an available camera or microphone. If your browser asks for access, allow the device you want to use.
How do I know I am muted?
Check your mic control. Turning your camera off does not mute your microphone. If you want to listen quietly, turn the mic off too.
Why did Here turn them off?
After a long period without talking or using Here, it asks whether you are still there. If you do not answer, your camera and mic turn off. You stay in the room and can switch them back on.
