Open public chat discovery on your Here desktop to look for conversations. Choose a chat that interests you and join it to take part.
Start with a hello
Read the chat's description and recent conversation. Say hello, talk about the topic, and open someone's profile if you want to learn more about them.
Are public chats noisy?
Public chats you join start muted. You still see their unread count on the chat icon. Change the bell setting if you want notifications.
Chats and rooms are different
A public chat is a shared message conversation. A room is a space with camera, audio, and things to do together. A room invitation in a chat may still require you to knock.
Use block and report if someone is bothering you.
